Some things just hold eternal fascination. Gicle'e loves to drink out of the faucet. Also, I was replaying this video when she was up on the desk and she was watching it with rapt attention, so I took a video of her watching the video. Geez, sounds like it's time for me to get a life! :)
The painting of me was done by my brother Ron when I was around three and he was in his early 20's (check out WalkingFortBragg.blogspot for his blog). I come from a very artistic, crafty family. My Mom was always working on something (crochet, knitting, and needlework and sewed me some beautiful clothes. My Dad ("Papa") was always making "something out of nothing" and carved beautiful images from a single piece of wood. Both of my brothers are basically mechanical engineers and artists. My brother Ron is a wonderful pen-and-ink artist and my brother Ken is a woodworker and drummer. I spend most of my waking hours at a corporate job. It's interesting, challenging, and I'm blessed to have it. However, I look forward to the day when I can explore more of my creative side. In the meantime, I squeeze in crafting, playing music and photography/design wherever and whenever I can.

I love a cat's curiosity. Remember Ernie, my parents' kitty? He never tired of watching the toilet flush :-)
