Il Regalo means "the gift" in Italian. Life is a gift and every morning there is a new gift waiting for us to unwrap.

Surf City USA (a.k.a. Huntington Beach, CA)
I made the most of my recent business offsite to Huntington Beach. The ocean is such a magical place to lose oneself in the immensity of it all, especially early in the morning . . .
wonderful photos! i love the little prints in the sand! my fave is the photo of the birds with the sunrise in the background!!!!!! love it!!! hope you're doing well...and we've got to get together and go out shooting one day!
The painting of me was done by my brother Ron when I was around three and he was in his early 20's (check out WalkingFortBragg.blogspot for his blog). I come from a very artistic, crafty family. My Mom was always working on something (crochet, knitting, and needlework and sewed me some beautiful clothes. My Dad ("Papa") was always making "something out of nothing" and carved beautiful images from a single piece of wood. Both of my brothers are basically mechanical engineers and artists. My brother Ron is a wonderful pen-and-ink artist and my brother Ken is a woodworker and drummer. I spend most of my waking hours at a corporate job. It's interesting, challenging, and I'm blessed to have it. However, I look forward to the day when I can explore more of my creative side. In the meantime, I squeeze in crafting, playing music and photography/design wherever and whenever I can.

It's amazing to see Huntington Beach so quiet; by the time we get down there it's a riot of activity! Beautiful shots, Diane!
